Wear it Purple Day is celebrated the last Friday in August each year striving to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people

Over 70 supportive people braved the dicey weather to show their support this year at Allambi to celebrate this wonderful day. Dr Ian McCracken highlighted to all in attendance of the importance of talking about this very important cause to dispel the phobias that exist around rainbow young people. The message was very clear that as an organisation Allambi intends to keep the conversation going with guidance from the Sexuality and Gender Inclusivity & Diversity Committee.  

A highlight of the morning was the unveiling of a new official Allambi SGID uniform for staff to purchase and wear to show their support for those young rainbow people they care for.
