Revolution Fun day
The Foster Care Fun Day at Revolution was a 'high flying' success again. Young people enjoyed their time on the equipment (as you can see!) and the Carers and Staff enjoyed the time watching the kids and catching up with each other'. The pizza was popular for lunch with leftovers for carers to take home. Perfect day all round.
My Forever Family have changed their name!
If you are looking for them to access their services or training, look for Home - Carers for Kids NSW
The CEO, Renée Leigh Carter, outlines the reasons for the changes below:
We’re pleased to share an important update with you. My Forever Family NSW has been renamed Carers for Kids NSW. This new name reflects our mission and our commitment to you – caring for those who care for children. It also reflects what we’ve heard from our carer community and sector across the years we’ve worked with you. You’ll see our name change rolled out in the coming weeks.
New name, same mission
The goal of Carers for Kids NSW remains the same: to ensure those caring for children and young people in their homes, via the NSW care system, are well supported so that you can sustain the important role you play and have a positive experience.
The new name recognises the incredible diversity of carers, and the care types you provide – whether full-time, part-time or permanent, and whether you’re a foster, relative or kinship carer, guardian or adoptive parent. We want every carer to feel valued and included as part of this community.
The name also reflects the role we take in supporting you – caring for those who care for kids and teens. We will continue to provide free support, training, events and resources under the new name.
A meaningful new look
Alongside our new name, we’ll be introducing a new logo that better reflects the warmth, care and connection at the heart of our work together, symbolising our shared commitment to supporting you and the children and young people in your care.
What’s staying the same
While our name and logo have changed, our unwavering dedication to you and your vital role in the lives of children remains unchanged. Thank you for being such an essential part of this journey. Together, we’ll continue to create brighter futures for children and young people across NSW.
