The Victoria team is proud to be successful in the tender application process, securing an additional four residential placements. With three placements in the Gippsland region and one in South Melbourne, this will extend Allambi Care’s service options for the young people and families we work with. As relative newcomers to Victoria, this is a huge achievement for our organisation and reflects the dedication of the team in strengthening ongoing relationships with the department.

The Department has given feedback on how refreshing Allambi’s approach to residential care is, particularly our innovative practice and out of the box solutions to meeting needs. Allambi’s genuine approach to therapeutic care, consistent youth work teams and wrap around supports for young people has set us apart from traditional residential care in Victoria and has received praise by the Department and services we collaborate with.

Things have been especially tough over the past 18 months and we wanted the Victoria team to know they’re not alone, we stand together. In an effort to introduce the Victoria team to the NSW team we set the Victoria crew a challenge. We asked them to record and share some of their experiences of 2021.
