Allambi Care are excited to announce the appointment of Claire Walker to the newly created role of Family Peer Advocate.
Claire has lived experience in the out-of-home care sector and has been working with Allambi Care for five years. This role was created in response to feedback at a recent Association of Children’s Residential and Community Services (ACRC) Conference to assist in the outcomes of young people and their families.
The aim of this position is to support parents and family members to be actively engaged in the care and support of their children whilst in out-of-home care.

The Family Peer Advocate (FPA) will support a structured and strength-based relationship between the organisation and parent/family member for the benefit of the child/young person and family. Services will be delivered in a trauma informed and culturally competent manner.
