The Allambi Care Outreach team attended the annual Hunter Homeless Connect event at Newcastle Showground on Wednesday 29th July, joining a wide range of community organisations committed to supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The event provides a welcoming space where people can connect with essential services, access practical support and build relationships with organisations that can assist them on their journey.
Throughout the day, our team spoke with community members about Allambi Care's Homelessness Support programs and distributed much-needed donations, including clothing, shoes, blankets, sanitary products and toys. These items were warmly received and will make a real difference to those experiencing hardship.
Hunter Homeless Connect is also an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with other service providers across the region. Working collaboratively helps us provide better outcomes for the people we support and reinforces our shared commitment to ending homelessness in our community.
