Breathe is a program facilitated by Allambi’s Social Work team to practice self care and mindfulness within the workplace by taking time each month to become still, grounded and reconnect with ourselves.
Each Breathe session practices a different mindfulness activity and meditation.
Research has shown the many benefits to daily mindfulness including:
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Clearer thinking and improved memory
- Heightened awareness and patience
- Increased wellbeing
- Better focus and productivity
Self-care, mindfulness, and meditation are important to practice particularly within the community services sector to prevent burn out and fatigue. Attending Breathe will not only assist you in remaining grounded but also help in supporting the children and families we work with to remain calm and better manage their anxieties.
Come along to our next Breathe session to experience the difference! Running the last Monday of every month from 8.30am to 9.30am in the Mezzanine.
Morning tea, fruit and water provided.
