Dopamine = Happiness
The team at Northern organised a camp for their young people, and it was a big success! The camp activities were varied, and the young people tried everything from ice breaker games, group challenges, campfire talks with marshmallows, spotlight/night-time adventures, and starlight stories.
Lindsay Fish, Director of Northern, had the following to say:
“Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Helen and Sam G for absolutely smashing it with the NNSW camp this week! You both put in so much effort — from planning and organising to being right there in the thick of it — and it really showed. The camp was such a great success, and that’s down to your hard work, leadership, and the way you both show up for our young people. You created an experience that was fun, meaningful, and full of connection — exactly what we’re all about here at Allambi Care. The feedback from everyone has been awesome, and it’s clear the kids (and staff!) had an amazing time. Thanks again for going above and beyond and for living out the heart of what we do. A lot of people deserve a shout out; however, you two drove it and did the bulk of the organising and planning. Big appreciation and high fives all around! 👏👏”
Colour Fun Run
The team from Northern recently competed in the Local Colour Run at Ballina. The event was run by Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service, and a day of fun was had!
Tarah Lacey from the Northern TracksHealth team had the following to say:
“The Allambi Care team had an incredible time at this year’s Colour Fun Run in Ballina, greatly organised by Bullinah. This is our second year joining the event, and it just keeps getting better! The day was full of laughter, colour, and connection, with kids and staff all covered head to toe in bright paint and smiles.”
