At Allambi Care, our work sits within a sector that is constantly evolving. The needs of children, young people and families shift, policy settings change, and new challenges emerge. To keep pace, our organisation must be able to adapt quickly while staying grounded in the values and practices that guide our care.
Two people helping us do exactly that are Tim Reed and Kelly-Lee Goodchild - a powerhouse leadership duo whose experience and perspective continue to strengthen our organisation.
Tim Reed has been part of Allambi Care since 2004, beginning his journey as a Support Worker. Over the years he has developed a deep understanding of both the systemic and emotional complexities of out-of-home care. Tim is known for his calm leadership style, thoughtful approach to decision-making, and ability to navigate complex situations with clarity and care.
Kelly-Lee joined Allambi Care in 2007 and brings a strong focus on strengthening family connections, fostering stable and supportive living environments, and ensuring culturally responsive care across our services. Her work continues to reinforce the importance of relationships and community in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Over the past 12 months, both Tim and Kelly-Lee’s roles have evolved. While they previously held a strong operational focus within Outreach and Fostering & Permanency, their roles have shifted toward broader organisational oversight. This change has been supported by the introduction of Program Managers across ITC, Fostering & Permanency, and Outreach - creating greater autonomy within each service area and strengthening day-to-day operational leadership.
This structure allows our services to continue running effectively under the guidance of Program Managers, while freeing up Tim and Kelly-Lee to focus on organisational priorities as they emerge. This broader focus pulls thinking out of just one area in the organisation and allows for greater clarity and strategy across operations. In a sector that requires the ability to pivot and respond, this shift helps ensure our leadership team can remain nimble and forward-focused.
Both bring a wealth of organisational knowledge, particularly around processes and best practice within their service areas. By sharing that knowledge across teams, they play an important role in driving continuous improvement throughout Allambi Care.
A key part of their work now is strengthening leadership capability across the organisation - embedding clear frameworks for leadership, supporting decision-making, and helping teams stay aligned as we continue to grow and adapt.
As our sector continues to change, the experience, insight and steady leadership that Tim and Kelly-Lee bring will remain an important part of how Allambi Care evolves - ensuring we stay responsive, collaborative and focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for the children, young people and families we support.
