The brand-new school year was met with lots of nerves, excitement, and happy faces (and a couple of frowns) heading off to school and day programs.
Aven reported:
'I had a fantastic week at school and feeling cranky it’s the weekend.'
Thank you for sharing , Tammy PerringtonMahli Newman had his first day at High School this week, with much build up. There were some nerves and concerns brewing, however the day/week went smoothly. Thanks for sharing, Jodie Godsk.

Unfortunately, Tae was unlucky getting COVID earlier this week but had a welcomed surprise with his HSC arriving this week. This is a huge achievement for Tae and we are all extremely proud of this milestone. Thank you for sharing, John Holmes.
Over the past year, Catherine has been working two jobs while studying at TAFE towards a career as a Youth Worker. During this time Catherine has saved enough money to purchase her first car!! How exciting for Cat! Thank you for sharing, Kim Lockwood. This is a great success story.
Welcome aboard to Dominique Dunbar, CSO on our team. We are so lucky to get to work with you. On behalf of the team I apologise for the bad jokes and excellent banter in store.
A huge welcome back to our NDIS queen!! Alyse Bellman how we have all missed you!!
Juzzy had one of the best house visits he has ever had this week. He FINALLY got his very own AC shirt and a visit from the one and only Boss (pictured puppy) p.s. that’s the pups name, I’m not being shady.
A special shout out to all the teams of peeps this week who were in training for uni and other ventures. We have a very big uni cohort this year and in some cases, there is only one or two people left on the team. A secret squirrel told me that from Megan George two cohorts 2 TS’s and all of her HM’s were in uni training this week. During this time Megan and Tara Kenny handled ALL of the phones and literally did the jobs of all her HM, TS , and manager. Megan and TK, your team wanted you to know that they really appreciated everything this week (and always).
Everyone across the departments is doing such an amazing job of working together as a team and supporting each other. Huge Kudos to everyone!!
Congratulations to the wonderful Jodie Godsk who is completing the house manager role while Dani is on leave. We are so excited for Jodie and so grateful for the amazing contribution she brings to the young people, her team, and the people she cares for.
Another successful Friday BBQ for the NDIS crew, if you look closely, you can almost hear Mr Glen saying “yes very good BBQ”.
This week Kyle Wormington and the team had some great news to share about the wonderful Liv Packer. On Monday Liv starts her TAFE course in aged care. Liv will be going to TAFE on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. Also, Liv has recently got a new job at KFC Raymond Terrace and has been working 6-7 days a week all year (January) saving money for her first car. Liv has been doing regular driving lessons and hopes to have her P’s and a car by November, when she turns 18. This is incredible for Liv and something her entire team are extremely proud of. What huge achievements for her! Liv's end goal with aged care is to become a registered nurse! Liv is too busy kicking goals for a pic. Mary Mills is absolutely loving Tactix. She has a keen eye for a strong deadlift and could put any of you to shame on the assault bike. Go Mary!! Thank you for sharing, Joshua Sandeman.Big Steve Mercer looking cool as doing quad biking. Steven had a great time despite being then only person to roll his bike! Thank you for sharing Sean Kennedy and the team!
Today John Holmes had a very special phone call from Roma (Xavier’s Grandma). Roma phoned to tell John that she had almost finished her dot painting for him. During the call, Roma excitedly told John that today is in fact her 60th Birthday!! Roma was ecstatic to share that with John because he was the first person she spoke to today; he indeed was required to sing her Happy Birthday. Of course, John did this with as much enthusiasm and birthday cheer one has to offer. Moving forward John is open to all birthday singalongs and the remainder of the team is devastated they weren’t in the pod this morning to hear.
Blake Davison at his new Day Program the Healthy Change Challenge. He’s 4 weeks in and loving it. Anyone who knows Blake would see the incredible transformation Blake had undergone with his health and hobbies. Go Blake and the entire team!! Pictured is Blake getting into some training! HCC looking forward to seeing Blake again next week! Thank you for sharing, Lachlan Fairhall.
