Allambi Care’s Learning and Development team recently introduced their Mental Health First Aid training for staff, a vital program designed to equip employees with the tools needed to support mental health in their roles.
Over a comprehensive two-day course, participants explored a variety of critical topics, including depression, suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, psychosis, anxiety, traumatic events, and substance abuse, while gaining a deeper understanding of how these issues affect people's mental well-being.
Mhairi Thompson said, “I liked it was interactive. We’ve received a take-home book, and it was held with other staff across the organisation.”
