Holiday Hangs has kicked off with a positive start, bringing young people and workers together for a beach day at Catherine Hill Bay. The day was filled with swimming, meaningful conversations, and strong connections as youth workers collaborated and spent quality time engaging with YP. With hot sand underfoot, a beautiful ocean, and a shared pizza lunch, the setting was perfect for connection and fun. Sun safety was a key topic throughout the day, and despite the heat, spirits remained high. This program will run each school holidays, blending ITC and Foster Care YP, and is designed to encourage community-based activities that empower positive engagement and experiences for our young people. The day was a massive success, summed up perfectly by one young person who said, “It wasn’t about what we did today, its was about the friends we made along the way”, leaving smiles all around.
