Last night Bella attended her first shift at McDonald’s Toronto. This is a remarkable achievement for Bella, after many months of transient living and often being away from placement for weeks and months at a time. Bella was also disengaged from learning and had no real positive supports or social connections in her life.
Bella and her team @83FreemansDr have done some amazing work by fostering and promoting positive connections for Bella at Allambi, and within the wider community. As a result of this, Bella is now settled and safe within her placement, has formed strong relationships with each of her amazing team members, has re-engaged in learning and is attending North Academy on a full-time basis, and is linked in with clinical supports.
Bella’s team members are all extremely proud of her, and most importantly, Bella is proud of herself. Bella wants to pick up ALL the shifts and earn ALL the cash.
