Upcoming Allambi Training & Events

+ June 11th

Less Talk, More Action

Less Talk, More Action will be presented by our amazing Play Therapist, Grahame Williams. Grahame is a Certified Practicing TBRI Practitioner and Theraplay Therapist who is going to take you through some hands-on activities that will help you connect and build a bond with your kids – no matter what age.

TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Interventions) and Theraplay are both therapeutic approaches focused on building strong, positive relationships between children and caregivers, especially in situations where attachment or trauma may be a factor. Theraplay is a direct, hands-on technique where parents and children engage in playful, interactive activities to build attachment, trust, and self-esteem. TBRI, on the other hand, is a broader framework that includes both attachment-based and trauma-informed strategies to address a wider range of needs, including physical, emotional, and behavioural. Grahame is a Certified Practicing TBRI Practitioner and Theraplay Therapist who is going to take you through some hands-on activities that will help you connect and build a bond with your kids – no matter what age.  Wear something comfy! No pen or paper needed.

Fun day wrap-up

The weather was kind to us for the fun day at Richley Reserve. The Kookaburras not so much…

Our day at Richley Reserve was very relaxed, happy and ‘lots of fun’. We saw new and old faces and the kids had a ball playing on and around the huge playground. Badminton was a popular event, as was exploring the park and watching the waterbirds on the pond. Several groups decided to walk over the hill to look at the animal enclosures and others chose to stay and catch up with each other and the staff who had attended.

Lunch was BBQ sausages and salad with the added challenge of extremely practiced kookaburras dive bombing and carrying out aerial manoeuvres to steal sausages from the BBQ and people’s plates. The BBQ team of Kyle, Stan, Mel W and Mhairi put up a good fight with Mel eventually retreating as birds are not her thing. She could be seen later on guarding the food with a plastic lid.
