2023 was a huge year at Allambi Care

Here is a recap of just a fraction of what our 960+ staff got up to:

  • Victoria, the Hunter and Northern New South Wales has seen absolutely incredible outcomes for our kids, the community, the families that we work with.
  • Our very first Spicy Brain event was a massive success. We had over 600 people come and celebrate neurodiversity disability and creativity of many of our NDIS participants and the community members. This completely unique event received amazing feedback and a number of our participants are already rehearsing for next year.
  • In 2023, Allambi Care reflected on the significant milestones of providing 20 years of foster care services in the community. During this time, over 370 children and young people have been supported by approximately 400 amazing authorised foster carers.
  • We held the inaugural Summit awards, celebrating the achievements of staff who go above and beyond every single day. We honoured more than 30 staff who just this year celebrated 10, 15, and 20 year milestones at Allambi.
  • Our Northern New South Wales team recently celebrated 12 months since opening. We now have 51 amazing care staff across the region. We have been busy recruiting carers and supporting the local organisations. It's evident that the combined team of the UPA staff and our  Allambi staff have created a wonderful culture in the North Coast.
  • Allambi also celebrates over four years in Victoria and continues to shift the culture of best practice in the state. A huge win for Victoria this year with securing 88 foster care placements. What an amazing achievement. We shed tears of joy listening to our staff talk about the purpose of their work and listening to others talk about how our staff have become life-changing role models for them.
  • We took the time to reflect on what Reconciliation means and open conversations with fellow staff and family members in order to gain a better understanding. Our Reconciliation Action Plan demonstrates our continual commitment to enhance and strengthen importance of family, culture and community.
  • Just last week, we partnered up with one of our other organisations in the community to hold a cultural day that brought young people in our out-of-Home Care face-to-face with Celebrity League and Boxing Stars. It was a fantastic outcome and opportunity for them to reach out and be with community.
  • Our North Academy education facility has just been granted five years of accreditation. What an incredible first year. A huge thank you to all the staff involved. A parent of one of the students stated that North Academy teachers and staff have been instrumental in getting their son back to school after two years of refusing to go.
  • We've had a massive year raising funds for others in the community. Domestic violence, cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Westpac resuce chopper, just to name, a few.
  • Over the past five years, we've had 75 staff graduate with a Bachelor of Human Services through our Allambi degree program. No mean feat.
  • Our TracksHealth team opened its doors in 2023 after Allambi Care Clinical Services identified a need within the wider community to offer high quality psychological behavioral support and allied health services.
  • Our Tact training team continue to support our sector with first class training and development, ensuring the standard of care is always being raised.
  • Our Allambi care team attended the Lake Macquarie Business Awards as finalists for excellence in diversity and inclusivity.
  • We enjoyed hearing directly from those that matter most - our young people. Through Your Voice Survey, we have been able to ensure our practice is being led and influenced by those that we serve. Our family work continues to go from strength to strength across the board.
  • The Allambi Care team have continued to go above and beyond for the young people and the families we serve. Hundreds of lives have been positively impacted because of your care, love, and dedication.
