For many years Allambi Care has proudly supported the Macquarie Scorpions Junior Rugby League Club. Our partnership is about much more than having our logo displayed around the grounds – it's an investment in a local community that shares our values of inclusion, opportunity and belonging.
Our sponsorship helps the club keep registration fees as affordable as possible, ensuring more local children and young people have the opportunity to play rugby league regardless of their family's circumstances. The partnership is also one that many within the Allambi Care family experience firsthand. We have staff, foster families, young people and carers who are involved with the Scorps each season, making it a club that many of us proudly call our own.
On 18 July, our team attended the club's Cultural Round, where we enjoyed spending time with players and families from across the community. Despite the wet weather and muddy fields, the enthusiasm on display was incredible. We ran our football throwing competition, hosted a lolly guessing competition, shared information about our upcoming Trivia Night and had some fantastic conversations with families throughout the day.
As part of our ongoing partnership, we're also excited to be raising additional funds for the club at our Trivia Night on 3 September at the Great Northern Hotel. Every dollar raised will help the Macquarie Scorpions continue to keep registration costs low and ensure more local children can enjoy the many benefits of being involved in community sport.
