Allambi Care is pleased to share the news of our newly appointed Board for 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for our organisation and the communities we serve.
We are delighted to welcome Kay Fraser as our new Chair. Kay is an experienced director and manager in both the private and public sectors, having served as Mayor of Lake Macquarie and Councillor for eight years until her retirement in 2024. During that time Kay led major strategic initiatives that strengthened Lake Macquarie’s development as a key regional centre.
We also warmly welcome Peter Parsons as our Vice Chair, whose 36 years in the NSW Police Force including Assistant Commissioner, will help guide our direction in the years ahead.
Alongside this new leadership, we are thrilled to welcome three new Directors to our Board: Brenda Matthews, Dr Tatiana Corrales and James Ritchie. Each brings valuable knowledge, lived experience, and professional skills in areas such as Aboriginal culture, risk management, research and out of home care, strengthening our ability to lead with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to the people and communities we work alongside.
As we embrace this new chapter, we also take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to Ken Youman, who has completed his time as Chair after 19 years of service. Under Ken’s stewardship, Allambi Care has grown considerably and has successfully harnessed new opportunities to expand the services available for those we support. These key achievements include geographical expansion into Victoria and Northern NSW, and the creation of TracksHealth and the opening of our school for special purpose, North Academy. Ken’s dedication and guidance have left a lasting legacy, and we are deeply grateful for the stability, wisdom, and care he has contributed to Allambi Care’s journey.
Our appreciation also extends to Bronya Thomas who has moved on after 9 years of service to our Board. Through her expertise in education, Bronya’s support has been instrumental in the growth and success of North Academy. Bronya and Ken continue their contribution through the North Academy Board which has a bright and prosperous future under their guidance.
These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to strong, thoughtful governance rooted in quality care, positive futures, transparency, and community connection. Our Board looks forward to working closely with CEO Simon Walsh, our executive and staff, partners, and community as we continue to grow, learn, and deliver meaningful outcomes for the people we support across New South Wales and Victoria.
We are excited for what lies ahead and thank our community for its ongoing support.
