From 31 January to 7 February a very excited team of Allambi Care staff and young people are taking part in a once-in-a-lifetime Cultural & Heritage Trip made possible through our partnership with Sione’s Foundation. This is a unique opportunity for young people to step into new experiences, grow their independence, and strengthen their sense of identity and belonging.
Our partnership with Sione’s Foundation is grounded in shared values of cultural connection, community-led practice, and creating positive pathways for young people. The experience offers authentic, strengths-based cultural learning, giving young people the chance to showcase their skills, build confidence, and create meaningful memories in a supportive environment.
This trip has been made possible through strong collaboration across Allambi Care, with invaluable support from our Fostering & Permanency and Supported Independent Living teams, as well as Finance and People, Support & Culture. Allambi Care staff and carers are supporting young people throughout the journey, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement every step of the way. A huge shout-out to everyone involved—your dedication and willingness to go above and beyond to make this experience possible is truly appreciated and makes a real difference for our young people.
We’re incredibly proud of the young people and staff involved and look forward to hearing their stories, reflections, and highlights when the team returns.
