Almost a decade of partnership, thousands of professionals influenced and a shared commitment to improving care for some of the most vulnerable in our society.
For almost 10 years, Allambi Care has proudly partnered with the Residential Child Care Project (RCCP) at Cornell University, supporting the delivery, development and quality of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Train the Trainer System across Australia and New Zealand through TACT.
Last week, RCCP Co-Directors Martha Holden and Andrea Turnbull spent time with Allambi CEO Simon Walsh, and Allambi Care’s Mark Said, Ben Jones and Fiona Waites reflecting on the work of TACT across Australia and New Zealand, while also sharing insights into the continued development of the RCCP internationally.
This partnership is about far more than training. It provides an important connection between international research, evidence-informed practice and the realities of supporting children, young people, organisations, schools and more in our local context.
Working closely with Cornell helps us continue to strengthen the quality and consistency of TCI practice, maintain fidelity to the system, challenge and improve the way we teach, and ensure the professionals we support are equipped to create safer, more therapeutic environments for children and young people to not just survive, but to thrive.
