What a turn out by the people of Newcastle at NAIDOC 2026. This years theme is 50 Years of Deadly - celebrating five decades of NAIDOC Week, honouring the resilience, culture, and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Thousands marched proudly for our community. Seeing so many people come together to honour the strength, resilience, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples was a powerful reminder of what NAIDOC is all about.
Allambi staff worked hard all day on our annual free BBQ, while many of our young people engaged in the various festivities. A special mention to our staff and young people who came down from Northern NSW to attend NAIDOC.
