In 2015, something powerful began at Allambi Care: the start of a 10-year partnership with the Bradford Institute of Advanced Education.
This partnership set out to create more than a qualification. It opened pathways for our staff to build meaningful, rewarding careers, gain formal qualifications, and continuously strengthen our capability and the outcomes we deliver for the people we support.
This month, that vision has been recognised on the national stage. On December 5th in Darwin, Allambi Care and the Bradford Institute of Advanced Education will be announced as Gold, Silver or Bronze winners of the 2025 Australian Training Awards for Innovation in VET.
These awards represent the highest recognition in vocational education and training across Australia. They celebrate programs, alongside TAFE and other major providers, that genuinely change lives and strengthen communities.
Whatever the result, we are already proud. Proud of our people, proud of our partnership, and proud of the decade-long journey that brought us here. This recognition belongs to every learner, trainer and colleague who has contributed to this pathway. Thank you.
Across these 10 years, we have achieved incredible outcomes. Almost 600 Support Workers have completed their Diploma of Community Services with a 93% completion rate, described by judges as “unprecedented in Australia.”
The real difference this pathway makes is best seen in our graduates’ stories. Some highlights include:
• A frontline worker becoming a leader within the organisation
• A parent with lived experience becoming an advocate
• A young person with care experience returning to support and inspire others
When training is grounded in community, lived experience, and real partnership, it transforms both people and outcomes.
