For 11 years, the Diploma of Community Services Pathway delivered by Allambi Care in partnership with Bradford Institute of Advanced Education (RTO No. 45241) has provided an opportunity for staff to build their skills and qualifications while continuing their important work in the community.

Since its beginning in 2015, the program has focused on a simple idea: learning is most meaningful when it is connected to real practice.

The CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services Pathway is completed over 12 months and is designed to be undertaken alongside frontline roles. This allows staff to apply what they are learning directly in their day-to-day practice, strengthening both understanding and confidence over time. Rather than stepping away from their work, participants continue to support individuals and families while also developing their professional capability.

This month, we acknowledge another group of staff reaching important milestones in their learning journey:
• 36 staff are completing the Diploma
• 18 staff are currently enrolled
• 49 staff attended enrolment sessions this week

Each of these numbers represents a personal commitment - staff choosing to invest time and energy into their development while balancing the demands of frontline work.

Over the past 11 years, many participants have progressed into new roles, including leadership and management positions. Others have chosen to continue their studies through the Allambi Care bachelor degree pathway. Alongside career progression, many participants describe more personal changes as well, including increased confidence, stronger understanding of practice frameworks, and a renewed sense of clarity in their work.

The most meaningful insights come directly from those who take part in the program:
“I look at the work I do from a different perspective and lens.”
“I can’t wait to take this back to the care home I work with and implement it.”
“I never believed I could achieve a qualification like this.”
“The content is delivered in an interesting, relatable, enjoyable, and engaging manner.”
“The facilitators make the content relatable and easy to understand through clear and effective delivery.”
These reflections highlight the effort staff put into their learning and the value they find in connecting study with practice.

The Diploma Pathway continues to evolve alongside the people who take part in it. Each cohort reflects a group of staff committed to developing their skills while continuing to support others in their daily work. We are grateful to be able to support that journey and acknowledge the dedication it takes to balance both learning and frontline responsibilities.
